What we are
- A matching service. We connect homeowners considering a sale with local buyers who specialize in specific situations.
- Free to homeowners. You never pay us anything, ever. Buyers in our network pay a flat subscription, the same whether or not you sell.
- Selective with buyers. Every buyer agrees in writing to our fair-dealing terms before we introduce them to a homeowner.
- Not the buyer. We don't buy houses. We don't list them. We're not real estate agents. We connect, that's it.
What we're not
- We're not a real estate agent or broker. We don't list properties or charge commissions.
- We're not a buyer. We never make offers on your home. We connect you with someone who will.
- We're not a foreclosure rescue service. If you need loan modification help, we refer you to free HUD-approved counselors.
- You choose who you hear from. Your information goes only to buyers in our network for your area who have signed our fair-dealing terms, and to no one else.
How we vet buyers
Before a buyer can receive your request, they must have:
- Signed our fair-dealing terms (no pressure, fair-market offers backed by comps, honest closing, honor every opt-out)
- Confirmed in writing that they never charge homeowners upfront fees
- A real-estate license or proof of funds
How we make money
Transparency matters. Here's our business model:
Buyers in our network pay a flat subscription to be in it. You never pay us anything.
We earn the same whether or not you sell, and whichever buyer you choose, so we have no reason to push you toward any buyer or any offer. Because more than one buyer can look at your house, they compete on the offer.
Your rights
Under federal law (the Mortgage Assistance Relief Services Rule), you have certain protections when working with any company involved in foreclosure assistance or distressed property sales:
- No company can charge you upfront fees for foreclosure help
- No company can tell you to stop talking to your lender
- You have the right to cancel any contract within 3 business days (in many states)
- All material terms must be disclosed in writing before you sign anything
